Welcome to Traveler’s Show & Tell:

a weekly round-up of travel-related posts from the blogosphere.

This week, Spicy Meatball makes a case for the city of Dublin, Ohio in a post entitled Why You Should Live in the Real Emerald City posted at The Spicy Meatball. According to her:

The beauty of Dublin is that it has something for everyone — snobs, hippies, and everyone in between.

And I always thought Seattle was the Emerald City! You know, I would love to make a road trip across the USA again – especially in an electric vehicle.

Next, Shelly Tucker reviews a 5 star restaurant located in a gas station, in a post entitled, A Gas-tronomical Adventure at Chef Point Cafe Here’s her opening paragraph to whet your appetite:

A five star restaurant at a gas station? Yes, you can find that in my neck of the woods. Chef Point Cafe is nestled inside this Conoco Station located on Watauga Road in the Texas community of Watauga … population: 24,005, SAA-LUTE! Oops, my Hee Haw roots are showing.

Shelly’s post is fun to read even if you are nowhere near Texas.  She is a professional storyteller, (great job, eh?)  and her words reel you right in.

That wraps up this week’s edition of the Saturday Show & Tell blog carnival. Thanks to all who participated this week, either by submitting a post, or by leaving comments below. See you next time!
