Nearly turning into a pumpkin tonight

I have less than half an hour to get my NaBloPoMo post up, or else I’ll turn into a Nablo-pumpkin. Funny how the lighting looks so autumnal in today’s shot. It was well over 100 degrees the day we visited that garden shop.

Last night, we saw Cirque de la Symphonie in Fort Worth. I posted a review over at iStopover.com Magazine, in case you want to know more about it. Here’s the short version: it was fun!

Tonight, we checked out the after hours event at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. It was an Egyptian-themed evening, with wine tasting, live music and hands on fun for us ‘kids’ 18 and over. Speaking of reviews, I recently posted an article about Lost Egypt: Ancient Secrets, Modern Science, too. What I like about this particular museum exhibit is that it left me wanting to learn more about ancient Egypt. They did a great job of piquing my interest.

I bought some local honey with the comb-in at the museum tonight. The Texas Honey Guild had a booth set up with all sorts of bee-related goodies. Yummy, blackberry honey.  Love that stuff! In fact, as midnight draws nigh, I think I’ll go fix myself a mug of ginger tea with fresh honey as a nightcap. See y’all tomorrow!

  1. Both sound interesting to me. I’ve never tried honey on the comb. Let me know how that is. I hope you can stay with the blogging. I enjoy your little bits of information.

Fresh honey comb is a tangy, chewy treat, Sheila! There’s a reason Pooh bear was such a fanatic. Thanks for your comments and encouragement. I do intend to keep blogging, and my energy seems to be slowly-but-surely returning [fingers crossed!] so that should help. Hopefully, this November’s blogging momentum will keep me on the posting track. I hope you keep posting, too. I get a kick out of your blog, too! :)
