It’s Wednesday, so it must be Row80

My ROW80 Check in If it were Thursday, I’d say that it must be Belgium, but since it’s Wednesday, all of us folks afflicted with writerly obsessions know that it is, in fact, time for a #ROW80 check-in! I got sick and missed my day job yesterday. As a result, my recollections of yesterday are a blurry mixture of, “Yippee! I’m home writing,” and “Ugh, I need to run to the bathroom – again!” Even so, yesterday was fun, aside from all the reminders of my corporeal existence. Anyway, here’s how my week went from a Row80 perspective. My ROW80…

Row80: Focused, not Fuzzy for Round 3

ROW80 Round 2: Fun, but Fuzzy As some of you may recall, I ended round 2 of ROW80 realizing that I need clarity. Don’t get me wrong, round 2 was inspiring, but that inspiration sent my creative self spinning off into many different directions. My creativity got fuzzy and frayed. I ended ROW80 Round 2 with the realization that – while it’s nice to be full of ideas – I need to set clear, concise goals so that I can conquer my writing projects one at a time. My ROW80 Round 3 Goals: ROW80 Check-ins: I will do one ROW80…

Click on the aforementioned link for more information. ROW80 Check-In With the latest ROW80 round coming to a close, it’s time to reassess my writing goals for the round starting on July 2nd. I must confess, this round really got away from me. The good news is…

Top Tips for Chatting on Twitter

Chatting on Twitter = Fun! Even though I’ve been on Twitter since 2008 – a fact I double-checked by going to TW Birthday – it wasn’t until the fall of 2011 that I began participating in Twitter chats. Up until then, I was really resistant to the idea of using Twitter for chat. I don’t even think I knew they were going on, actually, but I finally took the plunge and discovered that chatting on Twitter is really fun! If I hadn’t joined the weekly #commenthour Twitter chat, for instance, I wouldn’t have met the lovely @MDragonwillow, the inspiring @riverand…

DFWCON: DFW Writers Conference in Hurst, Texas

DFWCON I recently attended my first-ever writers conference, the Dallas – Fort Worth Writers Conference, a.k.a. DFWCON in Hurst, Texas. I had such a great time! As you can see, I snapped a few photos with my iPhone, which I then posted on Twitter, Facebook & Instagr.am, because that’s the way I roll. I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Hurst, Texas for the event and although it’s only 45 minutes from my house, I felt like I was on a big trip. Weekend Getaway My husband came over each night after work, took me out to dinner, then stayed…
