Traveler’s Show & Tell – 16th Edition

Familiar yet Foreign Hi all! I’m back from my 5 week honeymoon. I’ve been away so long that my house feels both familiar and foreign. Do you know that feeling? Blog Carnival Name Change As you can see, I have changed the name of this blog carnival from Saturday Show & Tell to Traveler’s Show & Tell. From now on, this blog carnival will focus on all aspects of travel, as the name suggests. Where is MY submission? Prior to my vacation, submissions to this blog carnival would kinda trickle in. The Lost Art of Dressing Up

How do you feel about clothing? Is it just something utilitarian, or is it part of your creative expression? Has your attitude towards clothing changed over the years? Sure, I was happy that day, but it was hot, humid, and I didn’t feel well. Even so, that little island was the most welcoming place. There was happiness coming at me from every direction! It’s not like we did anything particularly special that day, either. We walked all over, explored historical sites, and I drank fresh coconut milk, but as I say, there was more…

The Long Way Home

I failed to mention that Tex and I would be taking the long way home from London. In fact, we took a 14 day cruise across the Atlantic Ocean! I took a gazillion photos, including this one. The ocean seems to impress people in one of two ways, a person either finds it monotonous, or – like me – endlessly fascinating and dynamic. I loved watching flying fish soar over the swells, while the sea and sky made more costume changes than you might see at a Lady Gaga show. By night, the stars were stunning and crisp. We saw…
