How to Download Unexpected Texas for Free
I put many hours into researching and writing Unexpected Texas, but today and tomorrow (3/9 & 3/10) I’ve made the Kindle version of my quirky travel book, Unexpected Texas, available for FREE. Why? Because I can!
Please Leave a Blog Comment Here
I have one small request: Please leave me a comment on this post if you decide to download Unexpected Texas for free. I would love to hear from you. Besides, today’s my birthday! :)
Also, if you enjoy my book, please take a moment to leave a review for Unexpected Texas on Amazon. Speaking of Amazon Reviews, here are some excerpts from ones that are currently posted for Unexpected Texas:
” I would have never thought that Texas would be a place that I would want to visit (though I have quickly driven through several times) let alone spend time there, but her book makes me want to hop in my car and see these fascinating sites!”
“Whether or not you plan on going to Texas anytime soon, I highly recommend you pick up a copy of Unexpected Texas and entertain yourself with this adventurous and quirky book.”
“Unlike a standard travel guide that’s crammed full of information you’ll never use Unexpected Texas is a concise and focused guide that’s ideal for anyone interested in the odd, the overlooked, and the little bits of history that often don’t make the big picture.
Tui Snider’s writing is casual and friendly, the entries read more like postcards and letters from a friend than dry guide book entries.
The book focuses on the Dallas Fort Worth area but the two big cities don’t dominate, there are far more entries for the smaller towns in the area.
Unexpected Texas is extremely interesting and fun and hopefully just the first Unexpected Texas guide by Tui Snider.”

Just downloaded! I have never visited Texas but if I ever do, I’m going to want to find the interesting places!
Hi Barb, Thank you for downloading Unexpected Texas. Even though it’s a travel book, the wacky stories are meant to appeal to armchair travelers, too. Have fun! :D
I just downloaded my copy. Thanks! I can’t wait to read it.
My son and I took a road trip to Texas last year to catch a Rangers game. It was during the A to Z challenge. We went out of our way to make a few stops (Mammoth Park and Dr Pepper factory) based solely on your recommendation here on the blog. :)
Best of luck with the book!
Hi Chuck, It totally makes my day to hear that I’ve helped inspire you to visit some offbeat and overlooked places in Texas. I hope you enjoy the book! :D
The reality that I have never wanted to visit Texas makes this all the more fun and interesting, and may open some doors for me. Alien spacecraft and buriual in 1897? Hooked me from the start and makes me ponder a visit to my cousin Tim near Austin to explore more. You’ve made my life more fun and interesting since the dawn of the WWW about 20 years ago!
Hey Mal, I’m so glad you downloaded Unexpected Texas and that it’s piqued your interest. Lemme know if you ever make it to Texas. Would love to meet IRL, and back atcha on the 20 years of fun and interesting via the world wide web. :D
I just downloaded it! My boyfriend was born in Dallas and raised in Flower Mound, so my connection to Texas is a daily thing. I’m looking forward to finding some of the places we may have overlooked in our travels. And I’m sure he’ll get a big kick out of it.
Hi Salena, I’m excited that you downloaded Unexpected Texas. Hey, maybe your boyfriend will have some ideas to pass along for places I should research for my next book. I hope you find some places that intrigue you in the book. Happy travels! :D
Thanks, I can’t wait to read it!
Hi Jeannine, Wonderful! I hope you enjoy reading Unexpected Texas and that it gives you some good ideas. :D
