TL;DR – Too long; didn’t read?
If you’d like to be on my show and we’ve agreed on a date:
Please send me your head shot, bio, and social media links ASAP.
Please send me some photos (10 is a nice amount), with (c) info, at least one week before our show date.
Scroll down for specifics:
What is your show called?
My show is called Tui Snider’s Show & Tell and it is live-streamed on YouTube most Thursdays at 4pm Central Time (5pm ET, 2pm PT, etc.)
What time is that for me?
Eastern: 5pm
Central: 4pm
Mountain: 3pm
Pacific: 2pm
London: 10pm (Usually! People in the UK turn their clocks ahead and back at different times than in the US.)
What do I need from you before the show?
ASAP:
-bio (include your social media links)
-headshot
-And if there are any particular topics you want to cover, let me know.
I need those things to make a promo banner and to know how to promote the show in advance to my newsletter and on social media. Please send me that stuff as soon as you can. Thanks!
ONE WEEK BEFORE (OR SOONER):
At least ONE WEEK before the show, please send:
-10 or more photos, graphics, or other images that you have anecdotes or info to share with our audience about. (They do not all have to do with your main topic. If you are a sumo wrestler in your spare time, a photo of you in your sumo garb, would be great. Remember this is Show & Tell for adults, so any photos you have that you can share an anecdote about are best.)
-Please make it clear who to credit the images to. I like to include proper attribution to creators.
Show Links: promo, replays, etc:
Public Show Link: Once I have your head shot, I’ll make a promo banner and send it to you. I will also send you a public show link. You can share the public show link with your followers anywhere you like. This is also the replay link. You can send people to the public show link anytime before or after your show.
Private Studio Link: On the day of your show, I will send you a private studio link. Please click on this at least 5 to 10 minutes before the show starts so we can adjust the sound. I will be there 15 minutes beforehand.
How is this show different?
It is a visual show, not just audio. Why? Because many of the topics covered have a visual aspect.
Show & Tell for adults
Think of it as Show & Tell for adults. For instance, when I talk about cemetery symbols, it’s much easier to explain what the symbols mean if I have photos.
Is the show live?
Yes! The show airs live and viewers type questions and comments in the chat box. The atmosphere is casual and fun.
Will I be on video?
Yes.
What equipment do I need?
Nothing fancy! I use StreamYard for the show, and you do not need to download anything to use it.
Basically, Internet, browser, webcam, and headphones of some sort.
Look at the StreamYard FAQ. They explain it much better than I do: StreamYard Guest Instructions
What is the show format?
To get a feel for the show, please take a look at a couple past shows on YouTube. This will quickly let you know how I use the photos that you send me during the show. Here’s a link to a playlist of past shows: Tui Snider’s Show & Tell.
What topics have been covered in the past?
Take a quick scroll through the Show & Tell Recap & Replay page to see past topics: Tui Snider’s Recap & Replay Page
This is a wide-ranging show. I interview a variety of experts about topics ranging from: historic cemeteries, gargoyles, funeral traditions, paranormal experiences, mermaids, folklore, quirky travel, UFOs, Bigfoot, and all sorts of strange-but-true history.
