Jul 28: Authors Marketing Event
I always enjoy teaching at this annual event, which was online for the first time. My talk this year was an extremely personal deep dive into my book marketing tactics called “Taming the Amazon Tiger.” (More info here.)
Aug 8: Festival of the Unexplained
I premiered a YouTube video featuring the history, hauntings, and unique tombstone symbols of Deep Creek Cemetery for the UK-based online Festival of the Unexplained. (Watch the replay here.

2019 Bloggers Choice Awards: Lone Star Literary Life
I’m thrilled to have placed in Lone Star Literary Life’s annual Bloggers Choice awards! First off: I tied for Runner-Up as Most Engaged Author, then Santa Claus Bank Robbery was shortlisted for Most Creative Premise, shortlisted for Best Texas Book, and tied for Runner-Up of Best Nonfiction, while Paranormal Texas won Best Fiction (which cracks me up because I did a TON of historic research for this book, and that is certainly NOT fictional!), was Runner-Up for Best Texas Book, and shortlisted for Best Paranormal. Phew! All this encouragement makes me want to write more books! :) (Click here for more info.)
