Two things set this week’s Saturday Show & Tell blog carnival apart from previous ones:
- Gender: This time around, a couple of guys joined in – hooray for adding some testosterne to the mix, fellas.
- Theme: Although I did not set up a theme for this week’s Show & Tell blog carnival, one has emerged all on its own: How to Manage Your Creative Flow.
First up, Madeleine Begun Kane describes in rhyme how she copes with writer’s block in her post, Writing Humor Isn’t Funny.
Next, Samir presents a piece entitled See Also … which he describes as, “Rambling about writing journals, idea notebooks and writing for others.”
I can relate to much of what Samir talks about, as you can see in my post, Everett Bogue vs Hugh Hefner: Ditch it All or Keep Scrapbooks?, which details my ongoing conflict between keeping a digital versus handwritten journal.
Lastly, what would a talk about creativity be these days without mentioning the winning ways of Mr. Tiger Blood himself, as Preity Smith does in the post 10 Charlie Sheen Quotes You Can Use to Improve Your Life. Despite the title, Preity Smith’s post is actually quite thoughtful. According to Smith, much of what Charlie says can be rather sage, “When not taken to its Sheenian extreme…” Come to think of it, I can’t think of anything that should be taken to its Sheenian extreme, including Charlie Sheen, although “Sheenian Extreme” sounds like the name of an energy drink.
That wraps up this week’s edition of the Saturday Show & Tell blog carnival. Thanks to all who participated this week, either by submitting a post, or by leaving comments below. See you next time!
