True Ghost Stories, with Prizes for Treats!

Wow, that was fun! Moments ago, Teal Gray and I finished hosting  a special streaming radio show in honor of Halloween(click that link to hear the replay.)  Instead of just having one or two guests on the Teal Gray Worldwide Radio show as we usually do, we have arranged for 8 brave listeners to call in and share their best real life ghost story.

Listeners can now vote for their favorite true ghost stories. The top 3 paranormal tales will be announced on next week’s show, on Tuesday, October 27, 2015.

And, yes, there will be PRIZES!

I’m voting for Vern. Great story and I love all the details!

    • Tui Snider Tui Snider

Thanks for voting! Vern’s story rocked! :D

    • Tui Snider Tui Snider

Verne’s story reminds me a lot of the first alleged true ghost story that ever made me truly wonder. It was very similar to what Verne related, but when this person returned to their phantom restaurant, they actually found the silver dollar they’d left as a tip still sitting on the restaurant’s counter top!

  2. Melodee Melodee

I really liked the restaurant that disappeared. I also like the story about Shelly’s dad telling her to look for the lost ring.

    • Tui Snider Tui Snider

Thank you for voting, Melodee! :D

  3. Don Don

I enjoyed hearing these ghost stories and found them to be very interesting. I feel so sorry for the woman who has a husband in a coma, but I am not sure her story is quite paranormal. I have had weird stuff happen with my texts, just between me and friends who are in good health.

I couldn’t hear the Hell Hounds audio very well, but it sounded like coyotes. Coyotes have high pitched yips like that. Even so, I liked that story and learning that there is a legend about Hell Hounds in Galveston.

My favorite storyteller was Vern and his Phantom Diner. After that, my favorites were Kit’s Closet Encounter (I liked how straight forward it was) and Barron’s Haunted Hot Rod.

I look forward to finding out who the winner is!

    • Tui Snider Tui Snider

Thank you, Don! I am curious to see who the winners will be, too. :D

  4. TJ TJ

The Hell Hounds scared me! Plus, he had audio to back up his story.

    • Tui Snider Tui Snider

True! That audio was scary! Thanks for voting! :D

  5. JG Walker JG Walker

I liked that Haunted Hot Rod that Baron was talking about. I would have freaked out to see him sitting in the back seat.

    • Tui Snider Tui Snider

Yeah! I’d probably swerve into a ditch if someone materialized suddenly while I was at the wheel! Thanks for voting. :D

  6. MoonBeam Dreams MoonBeam Dreams

I live in Galveston and Qtip isn’t the only person to have heard the Hounds of Hell. He should feel lucky that he did not get close enough to see their glowing red eyes!

    • Tui Snider Tui Snider

Thanks, MoonBeam! I have heard that there are Hell Hounds legends in New Orleans, too. I need to read up on this scary bit of lore. Thank you for voting! :D

  7. Jonathan Jonathan

My dad swears he had a haunted car when he was a teenager back in the 1950’s. Used to scare the crap out of me and my sister with that one on late night car trips. I vote for “Hot Rod Phantom.”

    • Tui Snider Tui Snider

If we do this again, you should call in and share your dad’s haunted car story! I didn’t realize that haunted cars were a *thing* until recently! Thanks for voting! :D

  8. Tina S. Tina S.

Wow! I really loved this show! I am a first time listener, but I will definitely tune into your radio show again.

You had a really good mix of callers and they all had interesting tales to tell. I liked the ones that Teal and Tui told at the end. The goat lady made me smile. I had never heard of a ghost being nice like that before.

The audio got kinda weird at a couple of points, but that might just be my computer. I will tune into your show again. Really fun. I’m helping a friend pack up her apartment tonight, and I am going to put the replay on so we can hear these fun ghost stories while we pack up.

Okay…I am not sure who to vote for, but I will try! My top three favorite stories were Vern’s, Kit’s and then Barron’s.

Thank you again for a very fun show! :)
    Tina

  14. Dee Dee

I like ghost stories about actual places, if that makes sense, so my favorite stories were: Phantom Diner, Room 315 and Closet Encounter.

    • Tui Snider Tui Snider

Makes perfect sense to me, Dee! Thank you so much for voting! :D Tune in tomorrow night to find out who the winners are! :D

    • Tui Snider Tui Snider

Thank you for voting, Terry! I’ll have to see if we can try playing that Hell Hounds clip again. I hope you tune in tomorrow night to find out who the winners are! :D
